The 2nd two-day warm-up match between Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) XI and England XI also ended in draw at MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong on Monday. Replying to BCB XI’s 294 for all in the first innings, England XI resumed the first innings in the morning with the overnight score of 2/0 in 4 overs and could take the tally to 256 for 10 in 78.2 overs despite a strong opening partnership. The opening pair of Haseeb Hameed and Ben Duckett added 90 runs on the scoreboard in 27 overs before both of them retired out scoring 57 and 60 respectively. However, the BCB XI bowlers captured the rest eight wickets, giving the home side a lead of 38 runs. Gary Balance scored unbeaten 36 while Ben Stokes (25), skipper Joe Root (24), Chris Woakes (23) and Moeen Ali (15) were the other double figure scorers for England.
